INTRODUCTION
HOW I BEGAN WRITING A BOOK
I’ve long wanted to write about two heavy losses: my mom and my old-time friend. They happened one after another, leaving me no time for reflections, and I’m not accustomed to enter pure emotions in the “ship’s log”.
Time passed, but I remained silent… somehow. Well, probably not somehow: I thought, comprehend. One day I began to write about the friend, about how we met. Writing moved easily. It was a story about blessed memory, not about hard minutes. However, when I reviewed my essay, I found that I was talking about my friend through myself: my feelings and emotions. It dawned on me that these are my memories. I realized that I was writing not a short story, but a fool size book. The book about my life, family, friends and time.
